eu-schato_logy

-HELLO my other, I know U are out there, but I am in here, trying to reach you from the endings of our culture, where you are leaving anonymous messages, for me/ I read your e-schato-logical comments, the words on this toilet's walls, and I believe, I trust,I should take it PERSONALLY, although you don't show me your smiling face, but still, you are keeping this dialogue open between us, by posting images in newspapers, by spraying your emotions and my e-motions on this city's Walls, THIS CITY, is my inside-out, it's debris is my false assumptions, but you give me hope, you are a yes, that triggers a dream, that is more REAL than reality itself.I should maybe apologize for the aesthetics of this poor toilet paper, but I know u never underestimate the semantics of kultur, and here I am, resonating your thoughts, thinking in this confined privacy, about our connection. My anonymous Other, if u trust me, if you want me, ring the bell. You've been in this place many times, 4ever, but did U ever take your gaze to look Up, LOOK UP, THERE ARE BELLS ON THIS CORRIDOR, that you thought is just a corridor, a passage to where things end modestly. Now you see that looking up is granting u a surprise[...]

empathy

"When all lines are broken and no sail appears on the blank horizon, when no wave of immediate experience surges and crests, then there remains to the isolated subject in the grip of taedium vitae one last thing-and that is empathy"

The Real/ to my new friend D. who didn't believe I exist, as I didn't believe she existed

HERMES RISING

In the middle of the night you have opened your eyes and risen.

and walked out naked into the night where the world
is suddenly still and the cities
have been swallowed whole and everything's present
as never before:
the air rising around you like waves,
shadows falling off, trees sinking
farther and farther into the earth
which smells of passion.

You dreamed you were chained to a cliff,
a phoenix
gnawing at your liver, you dreamed you were
falling and falling,

but now you know that you can't fall.
And you breathe in the light of stars-
Sirius brightest of all-and your flesh takes in
that light, and you listen

for the sound of feathers,
for the slow thrum of your blood that never lies,

and you lift up your arms to the night,
certain you can fly

Kevin Kelleher in GigaOM writes: "A case could be made that there is a good reason for Google to make this deal. And although I realize I may end up regretting it, I am going to make that case...an investment in 23andMe lets Google chart yet another collision coarse [sic] with Microsoft’s ambitions...If Google wants to really organize the world information, it needs to consider DNA, the most personal of data. And what 23andMe is purporting to sell is the ultimate in navel gazing."[4]

Quiz of the Day: LAMF (αναγραμματισμός)

"All against All is our moto"

Rachel:There is something blocking his circuits when I go near him.
Tyrrel:He underwent special training. It's a defense mechanism against cosmonoid androids.Blade Runner Deckard is programmed to always initiate first in any kind of close contact interaction.Otherwise he would lose control over his emotions and become vulnerable to the enemy.
Rachel:It happens even while he is asleep.
Tyrrel:It's a three year reformating program. We sedated all tender memories by exposing him to a series of warfare imagery, while a smooth voice repeated "I love you".Good old behaviorism can still work miracles.
Rachel:Why didn't you simply insert a new memory card?
Tyrrel:We wanted to keep his sharp reflexes that were built because of his previous positive social experiences.Just channeling this power to a new cause.

Blade Runner II

Rachael: He's a replicant, isn't he?
Tyrell: I'm impressed. How many dreams does it usually take to spot them?
Rachael: I don't get it, Tyrell.
Tyrell: How many dreams?
Rachael: Twenty, thirty, cross-referenced.
Tyrell: It took more than a hundred for Deckard, didn't it?
Rachael: [realizing Deckard believes he's human] he doesn't know.
Tyrell: He's beginning to suspect, I think.
Rachael: Suspect? How can it not know what it is?

Deckard: Say "Kiss me".
Rachael: I can't... rely on... my memories...
Deckard: Say "Kiss me".
Rachael: Kiss me.
Deckard: I want you
Rachael: I want you.
Deckard: Again
Rachael: I want you.
[pauses]
Rachael: Put your hands on me.

Tyrrel: We began to recognize in them a strange obsession. After all, they were emotionally inexperienced, with only a few years in which to store up the experiences which you and I take for granted. If we'd gift them with a past, we'd create a cushion or a pillow for their emotions, and consequently, we could control them better.
Deckard: Memories! You're talking about memories!

Tyrrel:Yes.We only made a fatal mistake.Series XT1259 were fabricated with special features to make the trans-galactic trip.We thought of giving them an extra memory to sustain the long time of suspension in to space. They have a clear memory of being a fetus in the womb.
Deckard:Ingenious...
Tyrrel:It turned out to have an immense impact on aspects we hadn't taken into account.

Symphony in Blue/ the Big picture revisited

Like early explorers mapping the continents of our globe, astronomers are busy charting the spiral structure of our galaxy, the Milky Way. Using infrared images from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope, scientists have discovered that the Milky Way's elegant spiral structure is dominated by just two arms wrapping off the ends of a central bar of stars. Previously, our galaxy was thought to possess four major arms.

This artist's concept illustrates the new view of the Milky Way, along with other findings presented at the 212th American Astronomical Society meeting. The galaxy's two major arms (Scutum-Centaurus and Perseus) can be seen attached to the ends of a thick central bar, while the two now-demoted minor arms (Norma and Sagittarius) are less distinct and located between the major arms. The major arms consist of the highest densities of both young and old stars; the minor arms are primarily filled with gas and pockets of star-forming activity.[NASA]

Fishing for complement

I seek the language time-convicts speak. Their life sentences judged by poetic justice . I seek the language space-pirates speak. Using lies to reveal treasured truths and truths to locate floating realities.
I seek a language that sounds crisp as trust and smells metaphors.
Where “art” means love making and “war” means round tables.
Where syntax is not taken for granted and grammar has room for the stranger.
I seek a language we will play hand by hand, bit by beat, word by world.
I seek a language that will be resonating our presence even when
We will be apart.
Is there such a place?

wailing wall

Every story begins with a circle:the drama of someone pushed off and the struggle to get back in.In conflict with the small other and the big other.Meanwhile we are created by and creating constantly, our wailing walls of language. Messages of prayers and threats, invitations and exclusions, yet always desperately seeking to be deciphered, heard, understood, fulfilled.Always asking this big "Why?" that can never find a definite answer.Codes that reveal more by their way of expression rather than the message expressed.Like in this graffiti I read repulsion, but what I see is a group of signs excluded from the circle, fighting to get back inside.
Poetry is the language of life, in the end that is our precious ruin that remains.
