Ono no Komachi lived from 834 to 880.She was the daughter of Ono no Yoshisada, the governor of Dewa province, and the adopted daughter of Ono no Takamura (poet), from whom she took her family name.She was renowned for her beauty and is counted one of the Rokkasen, or "Six Great Poets", the only woman among them.
